“I have been cooking since I was a child in my mom’s kitchen and developed a passion for grilling and smoking meats. I have cooked competitively for over 30 years and have won numerous ribbons over the years. 27 years ago, I started developing my own BBQ Sauces & Meat Rubs, cooking & selling to friends and relatives from my home kitchen. I am very excited to introduce my sauces and rubs to those that Love Kansas City BBQ! Please enjoy my passion, as my family & friends have for many years! All are great on Smoked & Grilled Meats, French Fries, Roasted Potatoes, Eggs, and whatever your imagination will allow.

“I started cooking when I was very young. When I got a place of my own, one of my first purchases was a Weber Grill. I have never owned a gas grill in my life. Cooking naturally on coals and wood is the only way to deliver the best cooked meats and side dishes you will ever have. I also learned very early that a lady loves a man who cooks. When I was single, I very rarely had a date turn down a meal I was cooking for them in my home.
I also found that many people could not cook on a grill without burning or ruining a great meal. Therefore, friends and family were always anxious to have dinner at my wife’s and my home. I do consider myself a “Grill Master”. As I grew my culinary skills I bought my first smoker. It was a very basic “Bullet” smoker. I then graduated to a larger smoker with a side fire box and have owned many others since. My friends and family encouraged me to enter some of the local competitions. At first I resisted because I wanted to keep it as a backyard hobby. Eventually I entered my first competition and won a couple of ribbons. I was then hooked and that was 30+ years ago. We have cooked all over the country and love not only the cooking but the many BBQ friends we have met over the years.
Regarding my smoker, I now cook on an American Barbecues Systems “Judge”, that is on an axel that I tow behind my Lincoln Navigator. With its rotisserie shelves, I can cook up to 400 lbs. of meat for competition or catering.”

“As I grew my cooking skills, I knew I needed to develop a BBQ sauce to complement my grilled and smoked meats that was different from any of the other sauces I had used in the past. My “Kelly B’s BBQ Sauce” is the result of that effort. We have three flavors; Sweet, Sweet & Spicy, and Spicy. Please keep in mind, Spicy does not mean “hot” in my recipe. It merely means robust and full of pallet tingling flavors.
Some men golf (I do too), fish, or refurbish cars and that is their passion. My passion is cooking. Why? Because I like to eat and I love to entertain guests and see the pleasure on their faces while they enjoy my food and BBQ Sauces.”
