Recipe: Easiest Grilled Pear Dessert in the World

Have a sweet tooth to satisfy? Try this grilled dessert and show your guests that meat isn’t the only treat to come from your grill.


2 pears, one half per person
1-pint vanilla ice cream
1 bottle chocolate syrup
2 cups chopped walnuts


  1. Cut pears in half, and remove the seeds.
  2. Heat grill to 350°F.
  3. Place pears on the grill, cut-side down over indirect heat until the pears are warm and grill marks are visible. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Place each half in a bowl and add one scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  5. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and sprinkle on chopped walnuts.

Pro tip: Instead of chocolate syrup, pour Kahlua or Rum Chata over your ice cream. Add a little kick and be different!
